After IRS Tax Return submission what’s next?
IF you receive ANY documents from the IRS contact Tax Preparer Immediately BEFORE YOU CALL PLEASE READ
Accepted
1. Allow 14-21 days for the IRS to process return completely.
2. Do NOT check “Where is my refund” on IRS.gov (this will slow down processing)
3. If you receive a Check mailed directly to YOU please do not forget to pay your Tax preparer fees immediately.
4. If for any reason you’re receiving a Check you will be contacted when it is ready.
Delayed
1. Online Verification is needed please contact Tax Preparer immediately! (DO NOT try to validate tax return) there is information ONLY the tax prepare has.
2. An IRS debit has taken some or the entire tax refund
3. Tax return is being mailed to you
Rejected
1. You will be contacted to resolve the rejection. Below are some examples of rejections
a. IRS Pin is needed(Six digit code) to submit return. Go to ID.me for IP pin number
b. 1095-A Form (Health Care Form) is mailed to you or obtained at 1-800-318-2596
c. An Included Social Security Number is identified as being previously submitted
d. Change of Address (from previous filing year)
e. Incorrect W2/1099 amount reported
f. Missing W2/1099 not reported
g. Needs an Amendment
2. Tax Refund Amount error
h. Occupation and refund amount does not align (too Low/High)
i. Under reporting
